Liverpool are reportedly ‘still interested’ in signing West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen in the future.

The Reds will continue to monitor the 24-year-old after it was revealed last month that the Anfield club were admirers of the ex-Hull City man.

As the transfer window enters its final few days, Liverpool have been relatively inactive in the window thus far.

According to a report from The Athletic, as cited by Football Transfers on Twitter, officials from Merseyside will keep an eye on Bowen’s progress.

The report cites strength in first-choice quartet Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota, as well as backup in Takumi Minamino, as the reason behind not making a move this summer.

Meanwhile, cult-hero Divock Origi could still leave Anfield before Tuesday’s 11:00pm deadline.

Bowen has played every minute for West Ham across the opening two Premier League fixtures, backing up an eight-goal and five assists laden 2020/21 campaign.

It makes perfect sense to keep a close eye on the Englishman’s development in only his second full top-flight season.

Whilst this summer may prove to be a quiet one on the transfer front, with the fabled front three of Salah, Mane and Firmino all passing 30 over the next 12 months, a reshuffle looks to be imminent.

Albeit £27million valued Bowen may not be every Kopites idea of a marquee signing, the recent track record at Anfield would suggest that recruitment is in very capable hands.
